    Folky carved wooden bear. By Tony Thompson (d. 1995) of Asheville, NC, Kenilworth area. Signed TT on one foot. Grain of the light colored wood is visible; likely buckeye. Purchased from family member. 8" high, 2" wide; 4" deep. Bear will stand briefly on a sturdy surface, but his balance is not good, so he prefers to lean.
